CLASSROOM PROCEDURES
Mr. Barile 8/28/14
A) ARRIVE PREPARED to LEARN
1. Sitting in your seat at the beginning of class.
2. Having HW completed.
3. Having class materials (notebook, book, several pens and sharpened pencils, etc.) ready.
4. Having already gone to the bathroom, fountain, nurse, office, etc.
5. Having gotten enough sleep and meals.
6. Not socializing in the hallway during class time.
B) BE ON TASK (This is Spanish/French time ONLY.)
1. Listening to the class lesson.
2. All electronics are to be place in book bag and/or out of sight.
3. Wait until your time, not class time, for texting, music, calls, etc.
4. Using electronics ONLY when given permission to do so.
5. Talking about only what the teacher is talking about.
6. Staying focused on class material and what the class is focused on.
7. Talking to teacher, not to others.
8. Following along in class; not using electronic equipment, not daydreaming.
9. Staying seated.
10. Saving off task questions for transition times.
11. Taking notes, participating, speaking Spanish, answering questions, repeating, etc.
12. Trying, not quitting.
13. Following directions well.
14. Waiting for the teacher, not the bell, to dismiss the class.
C) TAKE & ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY
1. Accepting the consequences of your actions (good or bad).
2. Using the sources that I give you. Doing work for yourself.
3. Trying on your own, not expecting me to hand you the answers.
4. Studying and completing assignments.
5. Getting make-up work.
6. Reporting to class.
7. Having an organized notebook.
8. Bringing your class materials.
D) SHOW RESPECT
to OTHERS
to YOURSELF
to PROPERTY
1. Raising your hand, waiting to be called on.
2. Being attentive.
3. Using appropriate language, volume, and tone.
4. Asking permission, before acting.
5. Not interrupting.
6. Supporting, not belittling, others.
7. Walking, not running.
8. Not fighting (verbally or physically).
9. Refraining from horse play and rough-housing.
10. Refrain from bothering, man-handling, or touching others.
11. Etc.
1. Studying and completing assignments.
2. Giving yourself credit, not putting yourself down.
3. Using appropriate language, volume, and tone.
4. Getting adequate sleep.
5. Keeping your cool and controlling your own self.
6. Etc.
1. Picking up after yourself.
2. Not defacing property.
3. Not throwing things.
4. Not destroying property.
5. Not putting feet and rest of body off of the furniture.
6. Not holding laptops by the screen.
7. Using book covers.
8. Etc.
